Bilbo Break Through...

There’s always plenty of new faces in the pop world trying to make it to the top. And here’s one group who we reckon have enough talent to do just that!

Scotland seems to be flooding with talent.. . of the musical kind that is! Lulu, Barry Blue and, of course, The Bay City Rollers are just a few of the big names that have emerged from across the border! And now a new group, Bilbo Baggins, have bounded on to the pop scene.

These five lads (look a bit like the Bay Cities don't they?) formed Bilbo Baggins back in 1972 after spending quite a few years playing in various rival groups in Edinburgh. Then last year they signed up with a record company and have since released two singles. They haven’t had a hit, yet but we’re keeping our fingers crossed their next single will do the trick in 1975.
